Kenyan parents can enroll their kids to a fun club that can be a great for giving a child an insight into areas that the school curriculum does not cover this is according to UK family website, familiesoline.co.uk in an article titled, ‘The importance of after school activities’.

“There is an after school activity out there for every child and the best thing about them is that they are brilliant for teaching them to socialize , team work and can be a good way for them to learn a new skill,” the article said.

For Kenyan kids, Jojo Fun Club in Kiambu, an organization inspired by the need to give children access to after school activities, can be a good start for them.

“Jojo Fun Club is a children’s fun club that specializes in edutainment,” said Kahagi Macharia, the administrator at the organization. “It offers an environment for inspiration, engagement and education”

The club offers two packages; membership and park. In the membership package, interested parties open for their children a bank account with their partners Jamii Bora Bank while in the park package, parents are granted access to the club’s play facilities in Kiambu.

There, they can engage in activities such as; treasure hunts, sports (volleyball, football e.t.c), bouncy castles and garden fun among others.

“In the membership package, it is a way of encouraging parents to save for their children and to teach children the importance of saving. Also, by opening the account they will be issued a Jojo Fun Club card which they can use to get discounts from various stores across the country such as Bata.” said Macharia. “In the park package, we give them access to our play facilities.”

The park is open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. “Charges are Sh1000 per child, if they attend with two adults, they (the adults) get in free. Once paid, they have access to every facility in the park plus we offer fast-food.”
