What began as an idea to have fun with Ribena is now a 600-kids club, building houses for IDPs, visiting children’s homes and organizing parties for its members during the school holiday . Simba berry club is a fast growing club that started with just a hundred members three years ago, but has since grown to 6oo, with activities that include visits to SOS children’s home and to the GSK factory to see how Ribena is manufactured.
The club is managed by Gina Din, a PR firm that oversees its activities and registration of members. A one-time membership registration with Sh500 enables kids to enjoy benefits that include birthday cards, Mother's day cards to mums, 10 per cent discount on the Kiddies menu at The Carnivore, free use of Carnivore grounds for their birthday parties with free cake and entertainment including the bouncing castle, face painting and a clown, free entrance to Simba Berry parties and random surprise goodies . According to Elizabeth Gichangi, Ribena brand manager, and the pioneer of the kids club, the club hopes to grow and do more for the members while still ‘balancing between members having fun and giving back to the community.’ To join Simba berry kids club, one can register with Elly or email her for more details on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
