Kenyan families have a chance to be treated to a week long delight of free pizza at fine dining restaurants across the city. Dubbed Nairobi Pizza Fest, the seven day fiesta which hopes to increase the popularity of the traditionally Italian meal comes at a time when North America is marking National Pizza Month.
Taking place in 25 pizzerias all over the city, the Nairobi Pizza Fest intends to open Kenyans to the world of fine dining at mouthwatering offers.
“The Nairobi Pizza Festival is all about getting Nairobians to enjoy some of the fine dining restaurants that serve pizza,” Dee Sangale, Product Manager of online restaurant guide, EatOut said.
The festival will run until Friday 9th October and will see Nairobi families treated to an extra pizza for every one bought. This will be made possible by downloading a voucher from http://nairobipizzafestival.com/ which is to be presented when dining at the 25 participating restaurants. One can use their pizza passport as many times as they would like during the festival and it can also be used as a group. The offer will also include a free beer from Carlsberg who have partnered with EatOut to host the festival.
American international taxi app, Uber who is also sponsoring the event will be giving away two free rides worth Sh1000 each to first time users. Inorder to eligible for this offer one will be required to use the code ‘Pizzafest’ when going to any of the participating outlets.
The pizza festival is the first of its kind in Kenya but according to Sangale, depending on its succes, “we're hoping to make this an annual event like Nairobi Restaurant Week that happens every end of January”.
Some of the participating restaurant are Asmara, Carnivore, Mambo Italia among others.
