Young Kenyan mothers have a chance to attend an inspirational event this weekend that will teach them more about motherhood especially when they are young.

“It is an event for young mothers between the age of 18 and 25,” said Stacy Samba, the organizer of the event. “We will have three inspirational speakers; Muthoni Njoba, Liz Ntonjira and Jane Katuga, who were blessed to have children at a young age. They will talk about their experience as young mother. They will encourage the audience, who we want to leave feeling inspired.”

The founder of the event, Fiona Okaida, is also a young mother at the age of 23. She founded the event because she wanted to give other young mothers a platform where they could socialize and interact with other younger mothers who understand what they are going through.

“There will no topic of interest, it will be an interactive session,” said Stacy. “The ladies can ask questions about any topic and they are free to make suggestions on the topic they would like the speakers to discuss.”

Stacy also said it will serve as a meet and greet for the ladies because they will interact and mingle,” It is like a bonding session for the young mothers as they share advice and make friends.”

At the event, there will also be vendors selling different products for both mothers and babies. Food and snacks will also be on sale at the venue.

The event will be held at the Nairobi school from 11am to 5pm on Saturday, 12th March. Advance tickets while tickets at the gate will be Sh500.
