Kenyan salons and barbershops are offering children the chance to enjoy their time at the hair centers as they get their hair done. Below are some of them:
The hair centre offers Kenyan children the chance to have fun as they get their hair done. The interior décor on the kid’s section has been made appealing to them with the walls painted in bright colours and inscribed with playful words.
On weekdays, children watch cartoons as they get their hair done. On weekends, there is face painting and even a clown to keep them entertained.
But it is not only for kids, they also have an adult section which is “maturely” decorated.
It is located in Valley Arcade Shopping centre. They charge Sh400 for the boys’ hair cut while for the girls’ hair styles can cost Sh700 to Sh1500 depending on the preferred hairstyle.

They also allow children to play in their spacious nail bar and the fish in their aquarium, as they wait for their parents or guardians as they get their hair done.
They charge Sh200 for boys’ under 15 haircuts and Sh400 for those above 15. For dreadlocks, they charge Sh1000 for a retouch and between Sh1500 to Sh2500 for fresh hair; the price depends on one’s hair.
