Kenyans have a chance to get free medical checkups, treatment and medicine at the House of Grace church, Embakasi, who are hosting a Free Medical Camp.

“This is our way of reaching out to the community and giving back,” said Pastor Mary, the lead pastor of the House of Grace Church, Embakasi. “It is not just for our church members but for anyone who needs medical attention but cannot afford it.”

Doctors from the Aga Khan and Gertrude Hospital will attend to the patients and will prescribe medicine which can be collected from the venue for free. “We will not offer vaccinations or immunization to children but various ailments and diseases will be treated.”

There will be consultations, counseling, HIV tests, blood pressure tests, breast cancer and cervical screening, family planning services and diabetes tests among others.

The medical camp will take place on Saturday (24/10/15) from 9am to 5pm at the church’s venue in Pipeline, Embakasi. “If many people turn up and not all are treated by closing time, we might extend it but we have to respect the doctors' schedules too," said Pastor Mary.

Matatus to the venue can be boarded at Ambassador or Accra stage, which are number 34 A heading to the Airport.
