Schools are closed for the long December holidays, which is an opportunity for Kenyan children to engage in various activities such as camps. Below is a list of some the day and boarding camps being offered this holiday.


Furaha Camp 2015
Furaha Afrika Camp will hold its second holiday camp in Kilifi at the Kivukoni International School in Kilifi.
The eight day camp organized by Wild Youth Alliance aims to teach teenagers (14-18years) values of human dignity and to learn about the different African cultures.
It will include activities such as study sessions that will be taking place every morning, in the afternoon, there will be sports, group discussions on various topics and excursions. In the evening it will be movie nights.
It will take place from 12th-19th December 2015. Charges are Sh15000; this is inclusive of the transport charges from Nairobi to Mombasa, food and any other fee that they may incur.
Campers are encouraged to carry enough personal belongings and any musical instruments such as guitars.

Wezesha Kids Club
The theme of this camp is “The Time Machine” which is all about exploring the history of Kenya.
Activities will include art, drama, public speaking, cookery, creative sports and storytelling by storymoja which will all focus on the theme.
The day camp is for children aged 3 to 14 years.
It will take place from November 23rd to Friday December 4th everyday at 8.30am to 1pm.

Hobby world Christmas holiday camp

This is a day camp where children get to showcase their hobbies and also pick up new ones.

It will be hosted at the Kiota School, and it will involve children making of Christmas ornaments from different materials that they will get to take home.
Another activity that the children get engage to in is CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). They will visit different children’s homes taking them gifts as a way of teaching children the essence of charity.
It is for children aged 6 to 12, it runs from 8am to 1pm. It will take place on 23rd November to 4th December at a cost of Sh1000 daily.
