Kenyan ladies kennel association holds its annual dog show0 out of 50 based on 0 voters.

The ladies kennel association will host its 49th championship dog show on Saturday and Sunday giving a chance for dogs and their owners to socialize.

“The event is a full breed dog show,” said Barbie Winter, one of the founders of the association. “Beautiful dogs from East Africa will take part in it and they will be judged according to different categories depending on its breed be it a German Shepherd, a labourder and working dogs among others."

The club was started over fifty years by a group of women who were looking for a social setting for dog lovers. "It is a ladies’ only club meaning, only ladies are on the committee but we have honorary members that are men."

Other than organize dogs shows, they also take care of them and breed them. "We work under the East Africa Kennel Club Show," said Winter, "and from there we get to take part in other activities including fundraisers."

Only dogs that have been entered in the dogs will be allowed to participate in the various competitions and they should be full breeds. Winners will receive trophies, rosettes and certificates among other prizes.

The main judge of the show will be from Holland while the rest will be the committee club members.
