Valentine Cake House is teaching Kenya kids how to bake this April holidays through its recently formed Junior Baking Club.

Running as a holiday camp, the club aims to impart baking knowledge to the young ones.

“We just want to teach children how to bake,” said Eva Njung’e, an instructor at Valentine Cake House Baking School.

The school was opened in 2007 yet the Junior Baking Club was opened last year due to demand.

“People kept on asking whether we train children so we decided to open a section that does,” said Eva.

At the five day week long camp, children will be introduced to various aspects of baking as they learn how to make tasty treats.

“One of the things we teach children how to bake are cupcakes. Here they learn how to weigh ingredients, do the mixing and even decorate,” said Eva.

The camp which will take place from 18-22 April will cost Sh12000.

“This price entails the materials that will be used to do the baking such as the ingredients and appliances,” said Eva.

The deadline for paying the fee is Friday April 15, 2016. The fee can be paid at the camp itSelf or at the bank. For more information, call 0722 567 100.
