Given the current hot weather, Kenyan families can choose to cool off in style at a water park.
Below is a list of some of them in Nairobi.
Destiny Gardens in Tatu City-Kiambu Road
Formerly known as Rock City, the fun park has changed locations to Tatu City but still incorporates the same enjoyment for children.
There is no entry charge into the park but charges for the swimming pool apply. But other than the water fun, other activities include: bumper cars, merry go rounds and bouncy castles among others.
There is a restaurant in the park serving junk food and drinks of all kinds from Sh100.
Pool charges: Sh150 each (for adults and children)
Ride charges (merry go rounds, bumper cars): Sh100

Splash Water World
It is one of the most renowned water parks in the country that has been around for years.
Its swimming pool comprises of diving boards for the thrill seekers, numerous waterslides and is surrounded by a play park where children can engage in games such as volleyball or football.
Other kids’ activities include bouncy castles, trampolines and a pirate ship with props for the adventure seekers to take a tour on.
Charges are: Sh400 on weekdays and Sh500 on the weekends
It is open from 11am to 5pm on weekdays and 11am to 6pm on weekends.

Garden City Mall on Thika Road
The mall has a water play park for children that include water slides, fountains, jets and sprays with a non-slipping floor to ensure children do not get hurt as they have fun. It also includes a modern play area surrounding it.
Other kids’ activities in the play area include: bouncy castle, bumper cars, slide, trampoline, free face painting and balloon art.

Kaputei Safariland Hotel in Kitengela.
Located just outside Nairobi, the hotel has a swimming pool area for children surrounded by a playground.
