As the end of the first term in school for both primary and secondary school approaches, Kenyan parents looking to engage their children in educational yet fun activities during the holiday have the option of various camps.
Here are some of the organizations with activities during the holiday.
The science technology and mathematics (STEM) learning organization is giving science enthusiastic children a chance to expand their minds in the subject.
“Every Week, we will have fun, hands on activities for our little explorers, From building simple machines, to hands on planting as we explore environmental Sciences,” said the organization.
“All sessions are open to children from three to12 years. There will be two sessions daily: from 9 am- noon and from 2 pm- 5 pm.”
Charges are; weekly cost for holiday camp-Sh6000 per child for members.Sh1200 per session.
For non-members, it is Sh6600 (Per session cost), Sh1320 per session. Discounts will be offered for siblings
The organization is located at 891 Amboseli Road.
Nairobi Art Centre
For this holiday, the camp is dubbed ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and as is the norm, the artistic activities during that time will centre on it. Thus it is expected for children to let their minds wonder as they explore their creativity.
Activities will include: drawing, painting, clay sculpture, creating collage, canvas painting based on Alice in wonderland.
The camp is designed for children age four to 12 years old.
