African dance class
The class will be featuring movement and dance from Africa and the African diaspora including Haiti, Brazil, Ghana, South Africa and Kenya.
Every dance class is done with a story behind it for the learners.
The classes takes place every Wednesday 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm, at Mae Drive 227, Off Ruaka.
Attendees are moms and dads and the fee is Sh 1000 per person.
Yoga dance class
Shaniactive holds Yoga dance sessions this and every Saturday, and Wednesday in Nairobi. Yoga dance incorporates dance as a fun way to encourage the element of flow essential in yoga.
“Our classes focus on building Flexibility, strength and balance, while experiencing the other benefits of Yoga like weight loss, body toning, improved circulation, balanced metabolism, and overall health.”
The hour-long work out session involves stretching, posing, dance and breathing exercises – and believe it or not, lots of sweat and panting.
They take place at Racing Sport Gym, Valleyview Park, City Park Drive, Parklands at Sh 500 per class or Sh 2000 per month.
NB: Classes must be booked in advance.
Free teaser classes at JK&M Dance Studios
JK & M Dance Studios is a brand new Studio in Ridgeways, Kenya. The studio is directed by Meghan Stefanik, who moved to Kenya from Manchester, NH USA with the aim of growing the love for of dance to Kenya.
JK & M Dance Studios offers classes from the youngest child to oldest child at heart in both dance and fitness. It also give children the opportunity to perform throughout the year and display their love of dance to audiences around Kenya.
